"One Size Never Fits All"

This article talks about training teachers who have exceptional students to implement technology in a way that will "engage students, increase understanding, and enhance learning." Rather than having one formal meeting/training, they have a three tier training so that teachers can more easily fit the training into their schedules. During the trainings, teachers do hands-on, technology-based activities that teach them about and let them practice with the technology being discussed. The technology being taught through this training has been shown to increase motivation for students who typically struggle with things like reading, writing, and even presenting in front of the class.

I really like the idea of using speech-to-text, text-to-speech,  and recording functions to help students overcome their struggles. In the scenarios from the article, students used these resources, not as an excuse to avoid writing, reading, or presenting, but as helpful tools that helped them with each of those things. I think these tools would really help struggling students reach their potential and really help them gain confidence. What wonderful ideas!
